The Advisory Board of the project phase I was comprised of representatives from international and national organizations who have the scientific expertise to critically advise the project, and who can influence the adoption of the guidelines nationally and internationally. The Advisory Board was regularly invited to review the project outputs. There was one Advisory Board meeting in February 2003 and Advisory Board members were invited to the public days of each workshop.

We thank the advisory board members for their support of the project. Many have helped facilitate crucial contacts, funding and advice, including the opportunities to attend the MOPs and the funding of the project publications. Their inputs as reviewers improved the project methodologies.

A new advisory board will be invited to accompany the project in the coming phase II.
